What is NUSNA?NUSNA is the National University Student Nurses' Association. We are a student-led organization that serves the nursing students of National University at its three campuses in San Diego, Los Angeles, and Fresno. NUSNA San Diego is a local chapter of the California Nursing Students' Association (CNSA) and National Student Nurses' Association (NSNA). Our organization is governed by our own bylaws, and our meetings are run using the basic outlines of Roberts' Rules.
Mission StatementThe mission of NUSNA is to foster nursing education, facilitate early unity among our future colleagues in nursing, and to optimize the nursing student's exposure to numerous specialties and pathways in the ever-changing field of nursing.
BackgroundUnder the direction of the National Student Nurse Association (NSNA), the California Nursing Student Association (CNSA) governs school chapters across the state. Our very own chapter, NUSNA San Diego, was established in April of 2011. Our focus this year is to increase membership, raise funds for attendance at state and national conventions, and spread community awareness of National University’s student nurses and what they have to offer.
BylawsBylaws are defined as the standing rules for an organization. Check out NUSNA's Bylaws to see how our association operates.
